Can I have student loans for living expenses if not living on campus?

Recently I received Pell grants for covering my class expenses, but I still need some extra money for my living expenses. Can I take student loans for living expenses for that? How could I get it ? Thanks in advance for your help.

Yeah, you can take student loans for any purpose related to college. You can take the monetary aid for anything you want such as car, gas, rent, utilities, books, etc. You must have got award letter for the received grant and there must be papers related to that, if you are looking to apply for the student loans. You have to consult your college financial aid office and make inquiries about student loans. You have to let them know that you are looking to apply for them. They will process your tution-fee and everything, and will send the amount of excess money you are looking for.

Grants have a limitation, that it should be used only for books or tuition-fee, but there is not any restriction with student loans for living expenses. I have myself used it for paying off my credit card, which was supposed to be used for the college purpose.
